The cross country season came to an end for athletes from West Prairie and Bushnell-Prairie City High Schools on Saturday.
The runners participated in the Illinois High School Association Class 1A Regional at Scripps Park Golf Course in Rushville.
Results for West Prairie included the following: Ezra Bithos, freshman (10th, 16 minutes, 56 seconds); Ayden Lacey, freshman (16th, 17:28.60); Ian Fentem, freshman (45th, 20:28.60) and Jacob Foust, sophomore (63rd, 23:12.30).
For B-PC, junior Logan Joiner finished 65th (23:48.70), while senior Brett Havens was 69th (28:17.40).
All but Havens posted season best times. In the team standings LVC won the title with a low score of 39 points. Beardstown was second with 41 points, followed by Liberty (84), South Fulton (90) and Havana (103).
South Fulton freshman Karter Chenoweth topped the field of 69 runners, posting a winning time of 16:08.00 for the three-mile course.
Also qualifying for sectional competition individually were the following: Illini West sophomore Bryar Rodeffer (fourth, 16:15.60); Carrollton sophomore Andrew Price, (fifth, 16:29.30); Pleasant Hill sophomore Collyn Forbis (sixth, 16:37.30); Virginia/Triopia sophomore Brennan Beck (seventh, 16:41.40) and Jacksonville Routt freshman Cooper Fritz (eighth, 16:43.70).
According to IHSA rules, the first seven placing teams and the first five runners who are not members of the advancing teams in each regional will advance to sectional competition at the site to which they are assigned.

The girls race is slated for 10 a.m., followed by the boys race at 11 a.m.
