Cross country runners from Macomb High and Bushnell-Prairie City headed to Detweiller Park in Peoria Saturday afternoon to take part in the 47th annual Patriot Invite, hosted by Peoria Heights High School.
In the boys division, Macomb finished 15th out of 36 teams with a score of 423 points.
Elmwood/Brimfield claimed top honors with a low score of 117 points.
Individually for the Bombers, Alex Simmons finished 19th out of 295 runners, posting a time of 16 minutes, 1.50 seconds for the three-mile course.
Jackson Petitgout finished 51st overall with a time of 16:52.20.
Marc Simmons was 108th (17:47.80), followed by Eymen Tasdan (153rd, 18:29.30), Xander Merritt (166th, 18:45.30) and Cohen Hunt-Twomey (184th, 19:19.70).
For B-PC, Logan Joiner finished 287th (24:07.20), while Breet Havens was 291st (27:23.50). Stark County’s Evan Knobloch was the individual winner, posting a time of 14:48.90.
In the JV boys race, Thomas Ashwood finished 43rd (19:45.80), while Grant Potteet was 75th (21:36.70).
Elmwood/Brimfield’s Cooper Brown won the race with a time of 16:53.70.
The JV boys race featured 107 runners.
In the girls varsity race, Macomb finished 20th out of 30 teams with a score of 473 points.
Shelbyville raced its way to the team title with a low score of 122 points.
Individually fir the Bombers, Ella McKee finished 19th with a time of 18:53.10.
Khloe Diggs was 92nd (21:18.60), followed by Ava Weaver (100th, 21:31.80), Sofia Cardenas-Roman (159th, 23:14.90) and Jackie Rouse (236th, 29:38.80).
Tessa Bowers of Shelbyville topped the field of 244 runners with a time of 16:49.30.
In the JV girls race, Leah Gorman finished 24th with a time of 26:04.10.
Laney Weaver was 36th, posting a time of 28:52.20.
Robinson’s Terryn Loftis took top individual honors in the field of 46 runners.
She posted a winning time of 20:16.50.
