Everyone deserves a little pampering. And now, with a new wellness center open in Macomb, there’s another opportunity for a little self-care.
Michelle (Shelly) Niehaus, who, as a family nurse practitioner with more than 30 years of experience, recently opened Radiant Beauty, Health and Wellness in the upstairs suite of Michael’s Hair Design at 22 W. Side Square, along with her husband and business partner, Matt. The shop is open 8 a.m.4 p.m. Mondays, 4-6:30 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays. Evening appointments are available by request. To schedule an appointment, visit radianthealthbeautywellness. com. For more information, call 309-777-0755.
“Over the years, I’ve developed a passion for helping people look and feel their best—inside and out,” Niehaus shared. “I’m certified in aesthetic injectables, hormone replacement therapy and weight management. I love combining my medical background with an artistic eye for natural, beautiful results.”
According to Niehaus, Radiant Beauty offers a range of aesthetic and wellness services, including Botox and dermal fillers, hormone optimization, peptide therapy and medical weight management. Her goal? To create a comfortable, personalized experience where clients can enhance their confidence and overall well-being in a supportive, medical setting.
“After years of practicing in larger healthcare settings, I wanted to create something more personal, somewhere clients could feel truly seen and cared for. I’ve always believed that beauty and wellness go hand-in-hand, and I wanted to build a space where science meets self-care,” she explained. “Radiant allows me to spend more time with each client, really listen to their goals and help them feel their most confident.”
Niehaus stressed that these services go far beyond aesthetics, rather they’re about confidence, self-care and feeling one’s best at every stage of life. Whether it’s addressing fine lines, restoring hormonal balance or supporting healthy weight loss, these treatments can make a meaningful difference in how people show up for themselves every day, she pointed out.
“It’s not about vanity, it’s about vitality,” Niehaus added. Niehaus explained her business philosophy is simple: treat people the way she’d want to be treated. And she believes in honesty, transparency and natural results.
“Every recommendation I make is based on what’s best for the client’s health and goals, not trends,” she said. “Building trust and long-term relationships is at the heart of what I do.”
In addition to standard services by appointment, Radiant Beauty, Health and Wellness is available to help clients prepare for special occasions such as weddings, reunions and other milestone events. When providing the services and aesthetics to both women and men, either “just because” or for a special occasion, Niehaus expressed the best part for her is watching people’s confidence transform.
“When someone looks in the mirror and feels genuinely happy with what they see, it’s priceless,” she said.”I love helping people rediscover that spark and realize that taking care of themselves isn’t selfish; it’s empowering.”
As Niehaus is just getting started, she expressed how grateful she and Matt have been for the community’s support in their new endeavor, which she said is a dream come true. Her number one goal is to create a space where everyone feels welcome, cared for and confident in their own skin.
“Investing in yourself - your health, your confidence, your energy - is one of the most worthwhile things you can do. Our services are medically-based, safe and often more affordable than people think,” Niehaus concluded. “Many of my clients are busy professionals or parents who simply want to feel refreshed and vibrant. You don’t have to ‘fix’ anything to benefit, you just have to want to feel your best. We’d love to meet you and help you find your glow.”
