Nine athletes from the McDonough County Special Recreation Association (MCSRA) competed last week at the Special Olympics Region F Bowling Regionals. Five of them earned gold medals and are advancing to the Sectional round on November 2, 2025. MCSRA’s medalists include Jordan Carabelli, Kimberly Schenck, Adrian Thorpe, Jennifer Lynn Slater, and Marshall Woodside.
In addition to the five gold medals, the team brought home silver, bronze, and fifth-place finishes.
“We couldn’t be prouder of our athletes’ dedication and success,” said Allie Foster, MCSRA Program Supervisor.
The Sectional competition will be held November 2, 2025, where these athletes will represent McDonough County and aim for further success.
