Josh Higgins, a U.S. Air Force veteran and local school board member, officially launched his campaign for State Representative on Tuesday, October 7.
Higgins, who grew up in Biggsville and now raises his family there with his wife Lindsey, ran to bring honest, principled leadership to Springfield. He pledged to prioritize people over politics.
A committed community member, Higgins served on the West Central School Board and mentored young athletes as a certified speed and agility coach.
Professionally, he worked at Bi-County Insurance, helping farmers protect their livelihoods with crop insurance.
“Corruption in Springfield has gone on for too long,” Higgins said. “Illinois families deserve a representative who listens to them, defends their freedoms, and stands up for parents, small businesses, and farmers— not PACs or special interests.”
