The 2025 season for the Macomb High boys golf team came to a close Monday in the Illinois High School Association Class 2A Sectional at Prairie Vista Golf Course in Bloomington.
The Bomber had three athletes participate as individuals.
Senior Issac Leinbach shot an 84 to finish tied for 53rd out of 112 golfers.
Senior Ethan Dildine finished tied for 67th place with an 86, while sophomore Luke Chapla tied for 75th with an 87.
Quincy Notre Dame won the team title with a score of 283.
Normal University High (293) and Washington (299) also advanced to this weekend’s state tournament at the Weibring Golf Club at Illinois State University in Normal.
QND’s Beau Eftink was medalist in shooting a 66.
Other individuals advancing were Nolan Eccles of Dunlap (73), Vaughn Oakey of Bloomington Central Catholic (73), Carter Lippens of Dunlap (73), AJ Charpentier of Jacksonville H.S. (74), Jackson Bohm of Mahomet-Seymour (74), Rowan Mizeur of Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin (75), Isaiah Farraher of Metamora (75), Sean Graham of Peoria Notre Dame (75),Nick Herget of Dunlap (76) and Sam Thalgott of Bloomington H.S. (76).
