MDH Delivers Harvest Meals

More than 200 area farmers were well-fed this week courtesy of the McDonough District Hospital Foundation.

For the second year, the Foundation, along with MDH CEO Bill Murdock, MDH Foundation staff and Board members, provided Harvest Meals to the Field for 210 area farmers. The team delivered the meals – pork chops, cheesy potatoes and cobbler, all prepared by The Annex in LaHarpe – directly to the farmers in the field Monday and Tuesday. MDH volunteers put together the field packs for delivery.

'This is our way of thanking our local farmers and to better connect our farming community with our local hospital,' said MDH Foundation Director Brittany Moore.
