Family and friends of Brendon Payne and Sawyer Bloomfield presented a $2,150 check to Susan Denecke (in red above), Macomb’s Out of the Darkness Walk Coordinator, benefiting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). The funds were raised through an annual tournament organized by Brittany Mowen and Katie Hopping in memory of Brendon and Sawyer. On Saturday morning, October 4, the group presented the donation check to the animal shelter.
This year’s total nearly doubled last year’s $1,200 donation to each organization. The tournament supports both the AFSP and the local animal shelter.
