The Macomb High girls tennis team wrapped up the home portion of its schedule Tuesday afternoon, dropping a 7-2 decision to visiting Quincy High.
Singles results were as follows: No. 1 - Anika Reddy, Quincy Sr. defeated Lucy Platt, Macomb, 6-1, 6-1.
No. 2 - Alex Hamby, Quincy Sr. def. Sydney Hamm, Macomb, 6-0, 6-0.
No. 3 - Mary Dodd, Quincy Sr. defeated Griffin Schauble, Macomb, 6-1, 6-1.
No. 4 - Medha Pujar, Quincy Sr. defeated Addison Bainter, Macomb, 6-3, 6-3.
No. 5 - Sophie Hansen, Macomb defeated Gwen Mast, Quincy Sr., 6-3, 4-6, 12-10.
No. 6 - Isabella Gage, Macomb defeated Olivia Otney, Quincy Sr., 6-4, 7-6.
Doubles results were as follows: No. 1 - Reddy and Hamby, Quincy Sr. defeated Platt and Schauble, Macomb, 8-0.
No. 2 - Dodd and Pujar, Quincy Sr. defeated Hamm and Scarlett Brooks, Macomb, 8-1.
No. 3 - Mast and Otney, Quincy Sr. defeated Bainter and Hansen, Macomb, 8-3.
On Monday, the Bombers headed to Galesburg for dual meet action, coming away with a 6-3 victory.
Singles results were as follows: No. 1 - Platt, Macomb defeated Kaiya Mudd, Galesburg H.S., 6-3, 6-4.
No. 2 - Hamm, Macomb defeated Addison McCurry, Galesburg H.S., 4-6, 6-0, 10-6.
No. 3 - Grace Lawson, Galesburg H.S. defeated Darah McFadden, Macomb, 7-6, 4-6, 14-12.
No. 4 - Schauble, Macomb defeated Khloe May, Galesburg H.S., 7-6, 6-0.
No. 5 - Damanjot Kaur, Galesburg H.S. defeated Bainter, Macomb, 2-6, 6-2, 11-9.
No. 6 - Hansen, Macomb defeated Ying Chen, Galesburg H.S., 7-5, 6-0.
Doubles results were as follows: No. 1 - Mudd and May, Galesburg H.S. defeated Platt and Schauble, Macomb, 8-3.
No. 2 - Macomb awarded victory due to injury forfeit by Galesburg No. 3 - Bainter and Hansen, Macomb defeated Kaur and Willow Pilger, Galesburg H.S., 8-1.
Macomb is now 10-6 on the season in dual meet competition with two meets remaining.
On Oct. 7, the Bombers will play at Quincy Notre Dame.
One week later, on Oct. 14, the team will face Alleman Catholic at Rock Island.
The Bombers will head to Dunlap for Illinois High School Association Sectional competition on Oct. 17-18.
Joining the Bombers and the host Eagles will be Galesburg H.S., Geneseo, Kewanee H.S., Peoria Notre Dame, Peoria Christian, Alleman Catholic, Sterling H.S. and Sterling Newman Central Catholic.
