The Macomb Prairieland Barbershop Chorus invites all singers to explore fourpart a cappella singing in the barbershop style during the month of October. Each Monday evening, at the Macomb First Presbyterian Church (corner of Dudley and Carroll; parking lot alley entrance), the chorus will be preparing and polishing a number of songs for the upcoming Christmas season as well as reviewing current repertoire and introducing new tunes.
Here's your chance to share your vocal talents with other singers of all ages and genders as well as with the local community. Rehearsals being at 7:00 p.m on October 6, 13, 20, and 27 at the church.
The Prairieland Barbershop Chorus is the oldest choral group in McDonough County and will be celebrating its 57th anniversary this October. They've provided music programs for civic groups, schools, churches, and at community events throughout the decades, all with the mission to support music programs in area schools. Covering a wide rage of music genres, singers blend their voices in what the Barbershop Harmony Society calls “The Pursuit of Harmony with Everyone in Harmony.”
Come experience the joy of singing on Monday evenings this October. For more information, contact Craig at 309-776-4541, or visit the Prairieland Chorus on Facebook (Macomb Prairieland Chorus), on the web at prairielandchorus.com, or by email at prairieland [email protected].
