John Edward Tanner, 83, of LaHarpe, Illinois, formerly of Niota, Illinois, passed away Friday, September 26, 2025 at his home.

The funeral service for John will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City. Burial will follow in Appanoose Cemetery, near Niota.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
