'Alive Again: a Tribute to Chicago' at the Legacy Theatre

'Alive Again: a Tribute to Chicago” will bring the music of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band, Chicago, to the stage at The Legacy Theater in Carthage at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4.

The band Chicago formed in 1967 as the Chicago Transit Authority and quickly rose to fame with their soft rock, a blend of jazz-rock fusion and ballads.

The goal of Alive Again is to keep the music of Chicago alive and enjoyed by generations of music fans, performing hit after hit from “If You Leave Me Now,” to the classics of the 70s and 80s like “Hard to Say I’m Sorry,” “Saturday in the Park,” “Wishing You Were Here,” and more.

Alive Again: A Tribute to Chicago came together to honor the band that has provided so many with timeless music. Comprised of some of the finest musicians from the Midwest, they are committed to keeping the instrumentation, presentation, sound, and spirit of Chicago alive.

The 11 performers who make up Alive Again are each professionals with exceptional training and careers.

They provide a full back up for the vocalists with brass, woodwinds, guitar, keyboard and drums.
