
Mary Jane Pollock, 90, of Macomb, formerly of rural Colchester passed away at 11:50 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Wesley Village Healthcare Center in Macomb.
She was born on February 20, 1935 in Industry to Guy and Ruth Heaton Aten. She married William “Bill” Pollock on April 11, 1954 in Macomb. He passed away on July 15, 2010.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Elaine Bozard and Joyce Litchfield., one brother in infancy, Robert Aten; two brother-in-laws, Herb Bozard and Marshall Litchfield and a sister-in-law, Elaine Aten.
She is survived by her children, Pamela (Don) Hubbert of Winchester, Scott (Joy) Pollock of Colchester, Bruce (Cindy) Pollock of LaHarpe and Mike (Angela) Pollock of LaHarpe;11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; siblings, Neal (Phyllis) Aten, Jim Aten, Bonnie (John) Brinton and Connie (Bill) Heitman and two sister-in-laws, Patty (Steve) Coker and Linda (Bruce) Carter.
Mary Jane lived most of her adult life in Hancock County. She was a graduate of Industry High School. She was the first female president of the LaMoine Trails Saddle Club. She worked for LaMoine LP Gas, Thermogas, Ferrellgas, and Chem Gro Inc.
She liked gardening, being outside, and camping. Her favorite thing was watching her grandchildren and their sports. She liked cooking for family and friends, playing board games and puzzles, riding horses, dancing and traveling. Christmas was her favorite holiday. She enjoyed playing in ladies card club, shopping for others, family reunions, Eminence Cross Country Trail Ride and the driving force of the Pollock trail rides, quilting, and taking pictures.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 6, 2025 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Kendall Litchfield officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025 from 4 to 6 p.m.at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Industry Cemetery.
