The Macomb High boys soccer squad started a new week dropping a pair of road matches.
On Monday, the Bombers lost at Beardstown (8-3-2) 6-1. The following day, MHS headed to Abingson, dropping an 8-0 decision to host Abingdon-Avon.
The Tornadoes (8-5-1) led just 1-0 at halftime before breaking loose for seven goals in the second half.
MHS is now 2-12 on the season. The Bombers return to action on Saturday, heading to Jacksonville High to face the host Crimsons for varsity and JV play starting at 11 a.m.
MHS will then play its final four regular season matches at home, starting with the Sept. 29 contest against Quincy Notre Dame.
Macomb will then host Alleman Catholic on Oct. 4, Limestone on Oct. 6 and Geneseo on Oct. 9.
Postseason assignments have also been announced with Macomb being placed in the Chillicothe “B” Sub-Sectional.
Other teams in the sub-sectional include Abingdon- Avon, Beardstown H.S., Canton, Illini Bluffs/Farmington, Kewanee H.S., Monmouth-Roseville, Port Byron Riverdale, Quincy Notre Dame and Rock Island Alleman Catholic.
QND and Alleman will serve as regional hosts. Regional pairings are slated to be announced on Oct. 3.
