The Macomb Beautiful Association (MBA) celebrated outstanding landscaping achievements Thursday evening at the Macomb Arts Center.
Nineteen residential and business properties were nominated for the Business Beautification Awards, recognizing exemplary landscaping that meets the city’s business ordinance standards. MBA members voted to select six residences and two businesses as winners, showcasing Macomb as a community where people live, work, and play beautifully.
In a highlight of the evening, the prestigious Margaret Stover Award was presented to MBA member Lana Stocker. The award, a surprise to the recipient, honors exceptional dedication and service.
Barb Knox, MBA president, praised Stocker’s commitment: “Lana consistently shows up to help with every project—planting, weeding, relocating plants. When we needed a board member, she stepped up without hesitation. We are grateful to have her on our team and look forward to many more years together.”
