The City of Macomb has lifted the Open Burn Ban effective immediately. Recent improvements in weather conditions have reduced the heightened risk of accidental fires, allowing the resumption of open burning within city limits.
Residents may once again conduct open burning activities in accordance with local ordinances.
While the ban has been lifted, the Macomb Fire Department reminds all residents to continue practicing safe burning habits and to remain attentive when using fire. Charcoal and gas grills should always be monitored while in use, and no fire should ever be left unattended.
The City of Macomb and the Macomb Fire Department thank the community for their cooperation during the burn ban period and for continuing to prioritize fire safety.
