The Macomb High girls golf team finished third out of 10 teams in Saturday’s Macomb Invitational held at Gold Hills.
The Bombers finished with a team score of 357.
Quincy Notre Dame won the title for the third straight year by recording a team score of 332.
Monmouth United was next at 344, followed by Macomb High.
Illini West was fourth (370), followed by Geneseo (376), QuincyHigh (382), Mercer County (406), Illini Bluffs (408), Havana (488) and Canton (531).
Kewanee High and Pittsfield did not field full teams and did not figure in the team scores.
Senior Sophie Wilson led MHS, finishing fifth out of 59 players. She posted an 18-hole score of 81 on the 4,755 yard, par 70 layout.
Brenlee Tibbitts also placed in the top 10, finishing ninth with an 86. Reese Watson and Taylor Mann finished tied for 21st in carding 95s.
Rounding out the Macomb scores were Aubrey Holthaus (103) and Mullen Butcher (105).
Macomb also had three other players participate as individuals. Elise Sullivan recorded a 100, followed by Grace O’Hern (114) and Emrey Seward (125).
Meredith Yung of Monmouth United claimed medalists honors with a 77, finishing one shot ahead of QND’s Belle Boudreau (78) Catherine Knuffman of QND was third (79), followed by Pittsfield’s Elle Sanderson (80) and Wilson.
Priya Wear of Illini West was sixth overall (82), followed by Olivia Scholz of QND (83), Alexa Mosley of Quincy High (83), Tibbitts and Genseo teammates Claire Degrave and Katy Wilson (both with 87).
Macomb began the final week of the regular season Monday, hosting Havana, Monmouth United and Rockridge.
MHS si also slated to host Illini West Wednesday before heading to galesburg on Saturday to play in the Streaks Invite at Bunker Links.
