The Macomb High boys golf squad finished third out of seven teams in Monday’s Prairieland Conference Meet held at Gold Hills.
The Bombers posted a team score of 330. MHS was led by Drew Taylor, who tied for 10th overall, posting a score of 80 on the par 71 layout. The finish allowed Taylor to earn all-conference honors, given to the top 10 individual finishers, including ties.
Luke Chapla, narrowly missed earning all-conference honors as he finished 12th overall with an 82. Ethan Dildine and Eli Griffith tied for 17th overall with 84s, while Isaac Leinbach was 19th with an 85 and Toby Royer 22nd with a 90.
Illini West ran away with the team title, recording a record-setting score of 294.
Brimfield was second at 319, followed by Macomb, Elmwood (339), LVC (369), Farmington (381) and Havana (449).
