Larry R. Shumaker, Yelm, Wa., died peacefully on 7 June 2025 at the Columbia Lutheran Home in Seattle, Wa.
He was born on 26 April 1941 in Bushnell, IL the son of William and Dortha Shumaker from Bushnell, IL.
He married Jessie Campbell on 4 December 1965. Surviving are two sons, Rod and Jay Shumaker and one daughter Melissa Combes.
He was preceded in death by both parents and his wife Jessie.
He graduated from Bushnell-Prairie City High School, attended college at Southern Illinois University and did a brief stint in the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a Paramedic at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, IL. For a number of years. He was also a member of St. Bernard’s Church in Bushnell and a devout Catholic. He enjoyed wood working and occasional painting.
Larry was a loving and caring father and husband and will be interred along side his wife Jessie at the Bushnell Ceme-
