A pair of eighth graders represented Macomb Middle School in this week’s Illinois Elementary School Association State Golf Finals at Metamora Fields in Metamora.
In girls play on Sept. 11, Kennedy McGraw finished 58th out of 86 golfers with an 18 hole score of 107.
McGraw advanced to state play by finishing in a tie for second play with a 91 in the IESA Sectional held Sept. 4 at Madison Golf Course in Peoria.
In boys play on Sept. 12, Cohen Anderson tied for 76th place out of 94 golfers with a score of 94.
Anderson qualified for state competition after tying for seventh place with an 82 in sectional play held Sept. 3 at Parkview Golf Course in Pekin.
