Antiques & Collectibles Club Meets Sept. 17th
The Antique & Collectible Club is excited to announce that “The Train Guy,” Larry Jahn, will be presenting a program on toy trains. In this engaging session, Larry will share a brief history of model trains, explain the different gauge sizes, and recount how his passion for trains began.
Larry is a resident of Macomb, having spent 35 years as a biology professor at Western Illinois University and two years at the Air Force Academy. A native of Wisconsin, he holds both a master’s degree and a Ph.D. He and his wife, Mary Jane, are proud parents of two children and have four grandchildren.
Participants can look forward to Larry’s insights into Lionel trains, a key focus of his extensive collection. He will also help attendees reminisce about their first train set and provide guidance on how to assess its value, particularly concerning Lionel trains.
Please mark your calendars and plan to attend this program on Wednesday, September 17th, at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Room of City Hall, located at 232 East Jackson, Macomb, IL. All meetings are open to the public.
