The Macomb High boys golf squad kicked off a busy week Monday playing in the Limestone Invitational at Coyote Creek Golf Course.
The Bombers finished 13th out of 20 teams with a score of 349.
Ethan Dildine led the way for MHS with an 83. Luke Chapla was next with an 84, followed by Eli Griffith (89) and Sam Helling (93).
Drew Taylor shot a 95 and Isaac Leinbach a 99 in rounding out the Bomber scores.
Normal University High won top team honors with a 300, one stroke ahead of Peoria Notre Dame.
Washington and Quincy Notre Dame followed at 302 with Dunlap (303) rounding out the top five.
Metamora (316) was sixth, followed by Normal Community (319), Peoria Richwoods (322), Dunlap JV (331) and Morton (332).
East Peoria (336) was 11th, followed by Pekin (341), Macomb, Normal West (351), Pontiac Township (351), Delavan (361), Bloomington High (365), Illini Bluffs (367), Limestone (372) and Canton (383).
On Tuesday, the varsity and JV headed to Westview Golf Course in Quincy for a rematch against the Quincy High Blue Devils.
Dropping a one stroke decision to QHS last week at the Macomb Country Club, the Bombers varsity rebounded to win the rematch 163-175.
Taylor, Dildine and Griffith all carded 39s on the par 36 layout for MHS.
Leinbach and Helling added 46s, while Chapla finished with a 48.
Hunter St. Clair topped QHS with a 40, followed by Jackson Smith (42), Issa Geisendorfer (46) and Tyler O’Brien (47).
JV competition saw Macomb record a 171-176 victory. Nick Elbe topped the Bombers with a 41 on the par 34 layout.
Jaxon Barlcay and Kollin Knupp both carded 43s, followed by Nolan Schmidt (44), Carter VanVleet (49) and Lauren Young (51).
The Bomber varsity returns to action Friday and Saturday, playing in the Redbird Classic.
The two-event is scheduled to be played at Weaver Ridge Golf Club, Coyote Creek Golf Club and Metamora Fields.
On Monday the Bombers will play in the Prairieland Conference Meet at Gold Hills.
