The Macomb High girls tennis team improved to 6-1 in dual meet competition Wednesday afternoon, defeating visiting Pekin Community High 5-0.
Singles results were as follows: No. 1 - Lucy Platt, Macomb defeated Tayauh Dutton, Pekin, 6-0, 6-0.
No. 2 - Sydney Hamm, Macomb defeated Kyleigh Gardner, Pekin, 6-0, 6-0.
Doubles results were as follows: No. 1 - Darah McFadden and Griffin Schauble, Macomb defeated Caroline Potts and Mallory Roepenack, Pekin, 6-2, 3-6, 10-8.
No. 2 - Addison Bainter and Sophie Hansen, Macomb defeated Elicia Wagle and Ella Bonnette, Pekin, 6-4, 6-4.
No. 3 - Isabella Gage and Scarlett Brooks, Macomb defeated Madi Sego and Brooklynn Crowe, Pekin, 6-4, 7-5.
The Bombers will head to Black Partridge Park in Metamora on Saturday for a day of competition.
The team will return to Monday, playing at Palmyra, Mo. before facing Peoria High and Manual Tuesday afternoon at Peoria.
