The Bushnell Woman’s club met Monday, September 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Tellers for their beginning of the year potluck.
Hostesses were Mary Pendarvis, Susan McCleery and Karen Jackson who decorated a fall theme and served delicious pulled pork along with the ladies’ salads.
Jessica Starcevich, director of the Bushnell Public Library presented a very informative program regarding all the activities at the library. She reported they were able to purchase many new books due to donations by the Woman’s club, Pilcorn foundation and other donations. She also explained the new library phone app by using our library cards to link up to at least 135 libraries in this immediate area.
Karen Cameron, vice president, opened the meeting with thirteen members answering roll call to “Favorite author or favorite book genre”.
Jane Zarello reported that the Wednesday library reading and craft program will be switched to Saturdays 10:30 - 11:30 on the following dates: September 20 - Fall crafts October 4 - Apple crafts October 18 - Pumpkin crafts November 1 - Sunflower crafts November 15 - Thanksgiving pine cone turkeys December 6 - Snowmen December 20 - Mrs. Santa Claus The next Bushnell Woman’s Club meeting will be October 13 at 7:00 p.m. at Tellers. Gayla Sullivan, Laura Chaffee and Linda Thurman will be hostesses. Program will be provided by MDH Rehab Service, Senior Exercises
