Community Invited to Join
Families, caregivers, and advocates will gather at Chandler Park on Saturday, September 14, for the 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Macomb, a community event dedicated to raising awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
The event kicks off with registration and festivities from 9 to 10 a.m., followed by a Promise Garden Ceremony at 10 a.m., and then the walk through Chandler Park.
Highlights include: - Volunteer Check-In (Sponsored by Dot Foods) where volunteers receive event shirts - Community Awareness Area with local Alzheimer’s Association resources - Promise Garden Planting Area for participants to plant flowers symbolizing their connection to Alzheimer’s - Tribute Wall to honor loved ones (participants should bring copies of photos or notes) - Selfie Station with props to share support on social media Todd Lamison, Walk Manager for the Alzheimer’s Association, said, “The Walk to End Alzheimer’s unites the Macomb community in support and hope. Every step funds care, support, and research that bring us closer to a world without Alzheimer’s.”
