MHS Girls Tennis Team Downs QND 6-3 In Dual Meet
The Macomb High girls tennis team upped its record in dual meet competition to 4-1 with a 6-3 victory over Quincy Notre Dame Tuesday afternoon at the MHS Tennis Courts.
Singles results were as follows: No. 1 - Lucy Platt, Macomb defeated Anna Robb, QND, 6-2, 6-0.
No. 2 - Sydney Hamm, Macomb defeated Audrey Linenfelser, QND, 6-1, 6-1.
No. 3 - Darah McFadden, Macomb defeated Brielle Robb, QND, 6-4, 7-6.
No. 4 - Jenna Tracy, QND defeated Griffen Schauble, Macomb, 6-3, 7-5.
No. 5 - Addison Bainter, Macomb defeated Alex Terwelp, QND, 7-6, 6-4.
No. 6 - Isabella Gage, Macomb defeated Ellison Barnes, QND, 6-4, 1-6, 10-7.
Doubles results were as follows: No. 1 - Platt and Hamm, Macomb defeated Anna Robb and Linenfelser, QND, 6-0, 6-2.
No. 2 - Tracy and Terwelp, QND defeated McFadden and Schauble, Macomb, 2-6, 6-4, 12-10.
No. 3 - Brielle Robb and Lydia Brown, QND defeated Bainter, and Gage, Macomb, 6-4, 6-1.
The Bombers were scheduled to head to East Moline Thursday to face United Township.
MHS will then return home Sept. 10 to host Pekin Community High School.
