The Macomb High girls golf team finished fourth out of nine teams at Saturday’s Mercer County Invitational held at Valley View Country Club.
The Bombers posted a team score of 398. Senior Brenlee Tibbitts led the way for Macomb, finishing third overall out of 46 players with an 88 on the par 73, 5,000 yard layout.
Taylor Mann tied for 10th overall with a 96, while Reese Watson tied for 14th with a 100.
Aubrey Holthaus and Mullen Butcher both finished with scores of 114, while Lillie Lowe carded a 129.
Monmouth United’s Meredith Yung won medalist honors, posting a 76. Teammate Paige Christianson finished second with an 87.
United captured top team honors with a score of 371.
Orion was next at 396, followed by Ridgewood (397) and Macomb.
Following the Bombers in the team standings were Illini West (401), Sherrard (447), Mercer Co. (453) and Farmington (506).
Stark County did not field a full team. The Bombers will head to Deer Run in Hamilton on Wednesday for meet action with host West Hancock.
On Sept. 6, the team will participate in the Normal Community H.S. Invite at Ironwood Golf Course.
