The Royce Gracie Academy of Macomb has earned a prestigious spot as one of the “Top 300 Martial Arts Academies in the World,” a recognition proudly showcased on the school’s official Facebook and Instagram pages. This honor highlights the academy’s excellence and growing reputation within the global martial arts community.

Located at 1601 W. Jackson St., Suite 202, the academy is a certified affiliate of the renowned Royce Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Network. Since its ribbon-cutting on January 11, 2024, the school has continued the legacy of Cassady Martial Arts, serving Macomb with expert martial arts training since 2014.

Founded by Andy and Michelle Cassady, the academy offers programs for all ages and skill levels—including preschoolers, kids ages 5 to 12, teens, adults, women- only classes, law enforcement supplemental training, and Muay Thai kickboxing. Its mission focuses on building confidence, personal growth, practical self-defense skills, and fitness in a welcoming, family-oriented environment.

The curriculum is rooted in the teachings of UFC Hall of Famer Royce Gracie, a martial arts pioneer known for real-world, effective techniques adaptable to people of all sizes and abilities. Royce Gracie will lead a youth and adult seminar at the academy on Friday, September 12, 2025.

The academy also supports local safety professionals, providing trusted training to the Macomb Police Department and the McDonough County Sheriff’s Department.
