The Macomb High girls golf team opened the home portion of its 2025 season Wednesday afternoon, welcoming Quincy Notre Dame, Quincy High and Rock Island High to Gold Hills Golf Club.
In the varsity match, QND led the way with a team score of 149.
The Bombers were next with a 175, followed by Quincy High (183) and Rock Island High (196).
Playing on the par 35, 2,365 yard front 9, QND’s Belle Boudreau and Olivia Scholz shared medalist honors, shooting a one over par 36.
For the Bombers, senior Brenlee Tibbitts posted a career-low 9-hole round, shooting a 38 in finishing fourth overall.
Freshmen Reese Watson and Taylor Mann carded 44s in tying for eighth, while senior Sophie Wilson shot a 49 to finish 17th.
Rounding out the varsity scores for Macomb were Mullen Butcher (52) and Elise Sullivan (56).
MHS now has a dual meet record of 3-1.
In the JV match, QND led the way with a 195, followed by Macomb (236) and Quincy Hugh (249).
Rock Island did not field a full JV squad.
Medalist was QND’s Georgia Wisslead with a 45, while teammate Hadleigh Russell was runner-up with a 48.
Macomb’s Lillie Lowe posted a career-low round of 50 to finish in third place.
Other JV results for Macomb included Aubrey Holthaus (55), Emrey Seward (63) and Grace O’Hern (68).
The Bomber varsity girls return to action Saturday in the Mercer County Invitational at Valley View Golf Club in Cambridge.
The team will then return to the links on Sept. 3 at Deer Run in Hamilton, facing West Hancock.
