The Macomb High boys golf squad headed to Kellogg Golf Course to take part in the Peoria Notre Dame Tournament.
The tournament was originally scheduled for Aug. 18, but postponed due the heat.
The Bombers finished 11th out of 18 teams, recording a season low team score of 321.
Sophomore Luke Chapla led the way for MHS, finishing 18th in shooting a career-low 76.
Senior Drew Taylor was next for the Bombers with a 78, followed by classmates Ethan Dildine (81) and Toby Royer (86).
Also representing Macomb were freshman Eli Griffith (92) and senior Isaac Leinbach (102).
In the final team standings, Washington won top honors, carding a team score of 294.
Quincy Notre Dame was next with a 297, followed by Dunlap (299), Metamora (299), Normal University High (302), Peoria Notre Dame (306), Peoria Richwoods (310), Morton (318), East Peoria (318) and Peoria Christian (320).
Following Macomb in the team standings were Normal Community West (329), Peoria Notre Dame 2 (332), Limestone (354), Peoria Richwoods 2 (358), Petersburg PORTA/ A-C Central (360), Bloomington Central Catholic (364) and Rock Island Alleman (373).
The Bombers have a busy weekend ahead, starting with Friday’s Titan Invitational at Gibson Woods in Monmouth.
On Saturday, the Bombers will play in the Mercer County Invitational at Valley View Golf Course in Cambridge.
On Sept. 3 the Bombers will host Quincy High and Monmouth-Roseville for varsity and JV competition at the Macomb Country Club.
