Macomb High School on Friday night kicked off its fall sports season with the annual Dale
Armstrong Scrimmage and Meet The Bombers Night. Each team was introduced by new
principal and previous MHS teacher James Heuer as the the varsity and junior varsity football
teams scrimmaged against Jacksonville High School. MHS Head Coach Tanner Horrell told
Community News Brief partner Bomber Sport Net that it was an opportunity for his players to get
some jitters out of the way and get a fresh taste of “Friday night lights.” It was also an
opportunity for players to make a final case for playing time, he said.
