The 16th Annual Blandinsville Steak Cook Off returns Saturday, August 23, from 4 to 7 p.m. at 2 Doors Down. Contestants will compete for cash prizes, while attendees enjoy live music and a raffle supporting local veterans.
The Unforgettables will perform from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Raffle tickets cost $10 each or three for $25, with prizes including a 1/4 beef processed or $500 cash, a 36-inch Blackstone grill or $250, and a 42-can bag cooler or $100. Winners need not be present.
Cook off entry is $50 per team. Participants must bring their own grill, table, and serving supplies. Prizes are $200 for first place, $100 for second, $50 for third, plus $100 each for People’s Choice Best Steak and Best Appetizer.
All proceeds benefit the Great River Honor Flight and the Veteran Memorial.
