The Macomb High School Marching Bomber Band will hold its annual March-a-thon on Saturday, August 23, from 9:30am to 12:15pm. Members of the drumline and color guard will perform short marching demonstrations in three Macomb neighborhoods: Hidden Hills, Compton Park, and south of the Square.
Band members, joined by parent volunteers, will go door-to-door collecting donations during the performances. The neighborhood with the highest donation total will receive a special parade performance by the full Marching Bomber Band and color guard on Saturday, September 6, at 3:30pm.
Proceeds will help purchase much needed percussion instruments.
Residents in participating neighborhoods may leave donations in an envelope taped on their front door for pickup on August 23. Donations can also be mailed to Macomb Band Boosters, PO Box 916, or made online at https://square. link/u/0uI9tTl1. Please note which neighborhood you are supporting.
On September 6th, following the winning neighborhood parade, the band will present a free concert at 4:45pm on the McDonough County Courthouse lawn, as a thank-you for the community’s continued support.
