The Macomb High girls golf team opened its 2025 season Thursday, heading to Hamilton to take part in the West Hancock Invitational held at Deer Run Golf Course.
The Bombers posted a team score of 422 in finishing third out of six teams.
Quincy Notre Dame captured top team honors with a score of 342.
Illini West was next at 415, followed by Macomb, West Hancock (464), Liberty (499) and Havana (537).
QND’s Belle Boudreau was medalist, finishing with an 81.
A total of 38 golfers participated. For the Bombers, Reese Watson finished fourth overall, carding an 88.
Taylor Mann also posted a top 10 finish, placing seventh with a 97.
Other scores for Macomb included Elise Sullivan (117), Aubrey Holthaus (120) and Lillie Lowe (120).
The Bombers were scheduled to take part in the Champaign Central Invite on Friday, but did not participate due to weather concerns with the heat index surpassing 100 degrees.
The Bombers were scheduled to face Moline High Monday afternoon at Oakwood Country Club.
Macomb will then take part in the Redbird Classic at Metamora Fields on Wednesday afternoon before heading to Rushville on Thursday for a dual meet against host Rushville-Industry at Scripps Park Golf Course.
