The Spoon River College Office of Community Outreach will offer two semester-based Cannabis Education scholarships this fall which will allow two students to attend the fall 2025 Cannabis Horticulture Processing course at no cost.
Cannabis Horticulture Processing is a 12-week program that helps prepare students for a career in the quickly growing Cannabis Industry. This course will specifically focus on the harvesting, drying, curing, testing, extraction, and processing of the cannabis plant. Classes begin on September 11, 2025.
These scholarships are made possible through two different funding sources. These sources include the Thomas and Denise Vogel Cannabis Education Scholarship as well as new funding from the ICCB Noncredit Workforce Training Grant. SRC is excited to have the chance to offer two scholarships this semester, as only one has been available in the past.
The fall 2025 scholarship application deadline is September 4, 2025. If you are interested in applying for this exciting opportunity please contact Lily at [email protected]. Feel free to also visit src.augusoft.net for more detailed course information.
