New Tai Chi Class Promotes Wellness and Balance in Macomb

Starting this fall, a new Tai Chi for Health class will be offered through the University of Illinois Extension, providing community members an opportunity to build physical resilience and reduce stress—no prior experience needed.

Classes will be held twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from September 2 through November 4, at the 4-H Center (Brown Building), 3022 W. Jackson St., Macomb, IL. No class will be held on September 30.

Each 60-minute session is guided by Family Life Educator Tessa Hobbs-Curley, who’s warm and encouraging style creates a comfortable environment for exploring movement and mindfulness.

“No matter your age or experience, Tai Chi is a gentle way to stay active and centered,” said Hobbs-Curley. We're excited to bring this enriching experience to our community.

Those interested in participating are encouraged to register early to secure their spot.
