On Monday, Rep. Norine Hammond and Sen. Neil Anderson announced the opening of their new Macomb office located at 325 E. Washington St. Hammond and Anderson also share an office in Aledo, which Anderson oversees, the Macomb office Hammond will oversee.
Anderson and Hammond welcomed everyone and Hammond hopes this space, like the former legislative office, will be around for 30 plus years.
"This new, beautiful space is easily accessible for our constituents with lots of parking." She went on to say, "I am honored to serve this district with Neil (Anderson). As Neil mentioned, 15 counties in the senate district, 13 of those are in the house district, so we do our best to divide and conquer to the best of our ability to get out to serve our constituents in various offices, but also throughout the district." Hammond concluded by thanking everyone for attending and saying, "l am looking forward to serving you all for a long time." The Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the Ribbon Cutting ceremony with numerous government, business and community leaders in attendance.
