Spoon River College will be offering two CPR / first aid courses this coming fall. These offerings include “Youth CPR Overview & Basic First Aid” on Tuesday, September 16 from 5:30pm – 6:30pm and Adult Heart Saver CPR / First Aid on Wednesday, September 24 from 5:30pm-9:30pm at the Spoon River College Outreach Center in Macomb.
Youth CPR Overview & Basic First Aid is a course geared towards youth 8+ and will focus on how to recognize an emergency, calling 911, chest compressions, using an AED, basic first aid, and any other situations that students and their parents might be curious about. There is a $20 fee to attend.
The Adult Heart Saver CPR / First Aid course will be available to ages 16+ and will cover adult, child, and infant CPR, AED, choking, and basic first aid. At the completion of this course students will also receive their Heart Saver CPR / First Aid Certification Card. There is an $80 fee to attend. Classes will be held at the SRC Outreach Center located at 2500 East Jackson St. in Macomb and pre-registration is required to attend.
