The 35th annual Wesley Village Ice Cream Social, a summer staple, saw almost 300 attend, nearly 30 volunteers helping out and more than $5,000 (and counting!) raised for Macomb's senior living center, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.
'Thank you, thank you, thank you to the generous sponsors, our amazing volunteers and staff and to everyone who came out,' said Lisa Ward, Wesley's director of development. 'The weather was beautiful, the music provided by King Graffiti was incredible and the desserts were delicious, but most of all the camaraderie and joy were contagious!'
