Kerry Dee Ebbert, 77, of Bushnell, Illi- nois, passed away at 1:38 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at his residence.
He was born on February 19, 1948, in Macomb, Illinois, to Kenneth “KL” Ebbert and Betty (Potts) Dilts. He married Janice Rae Linhart on May 24, 1990, in Macomb, IL. She survives.
Also surviving are two children, Tammy (Larry) James of Bushnell, IL and Gabe Ebbert of Flint, MI; four granddaugh- ters, Sara (Tyler) Woodside, Krystal (Brandon Silchack) James, Heather (Wyatt) Heap, and Brianna Haskins; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Cheryl (David) Lewis of Peoria, IL and Donna Borders of Bushnell, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, KL Ebbert; his mother, Betty Dilts; his stepfather, Jim “Doc” Dilts; and son, Toby Ebbert.
Kerry was a graduate of Bushnell-Prairie City High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He later worked in Building Ser- vices at Western Illinois University, where he dedicated over 20 years before retiring.
He was an avid Miami Dolphins fan. Kerry also enjoyed the thrill of NASCAR racing and time spent with his family.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Martin-Hollis Funeral Home. Private graveside services were held at Bush- nell Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bushnell First Baptist Church.
