It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Linda (Haley) Carlson, 81, of Whitewater, WI.
She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 12, 2025, after a battle with cancer. Born on July 1, 1944, in Macomb, Illinois. She
was a loving wife and mother, a dedicated savior to many cats and dogs, and a pillar of kindness to all who knew her.
Linda is survived by her husband of 61 years, Larry Carlson, their child Erik Carlson (wife - Pachion), along with countless friends who felt her warmth and generosity. She was preceded in death by her father, John Haley and her mother, Lela (Gillenwater) Haley.
Linda’s life was a testament to her love for family and her passion for caring for others. After graduating from Macomb High School in 1962, she pursued her calling to care for those in need, working as a nurse’s aide, then as the director of housekeeping at Macomb Manor. She later became a partner in Carlson Cleaning Service, cleaning several commercial businesses in Macomb, as well as many, many private resi- dences.
Outside of work, Linda Carlson enjoyed hobbies and activities, such as gardening, shopping for antiques, playing the accordion which led to piano, doting on her cats, and spending time with family.
