The excavation was well underway in August 1897 for Mrs. Mary Scott’s new residence. The home was built by well known builder J. H. Fuhr for a reported sum of $3,800. The home was purchased in February of 1915 by Frank E. Bonham, prominent florist and owner of Bonham Flower shop and greenhouse. Mr. Bonham had been a florist for over 30 years in Macomb and had his greenhouse on North College Street. Frank was a charter member of the Macomb Rotarians. This home still exists today..
